Chocolate (and its source plant, cacao) has a long, strange, beautiful history, and is much more interesting and varied than its modern manifestations in mass-produced chocolate bars and sauces. It's been enjoyed and revered by countless cultures, at times being bestowed with great mystical and spiritual significance.

Come learn about the history of cacao, and how what we enjoy as chocolate evolved. We'll explore how chocolate is made, and what makes artisan chocolate so special. We'll taste a number of artisan bars, all of which are hand-crafted and beautifully expressive of place.

Classes are an hour-and-a-half long, and are guided by Chocolate Maven Sonia Lyris. Classes are kept small (5 to 10 students) for individual attention. The following dates and times are available:

Classes cost $20 per person, and include tastes of a selection of artisan chocolate bars, all of which will be available for sale at a 10% discount.

If you have a voucher or gift certificate for the class, please include the voucher number in your reservation. If you need to pay for the class, please send payment via PayPal to paypal@wineteachocolate.com.
